Most may not recognize Hirshberg’s name but chances are they have seen his face. He made numerous appearances during E3 press conferences and special events, premiering new gameplay footage for tons of Activision titles. Hirshberg typically welcomed the Call of Duty fans during premiere events like Call of Duty XP, and was known not to mince words when it came to critiquing Activision’s successes and failures. Obviously, a lot of the questions surrounding Hirshberg’s departure will be focused on whether he chose to leave or if he was “encouraged to leave”....

These shareholders are now preparing for a potential legal battle against Activision over what they argue is misleading information by the publisher. Kuznicki Law PLLC is a law firm in the United States that is seeking to file a class-action lawsuit against Activision on behalf of these investors. The firm says that those who purchased Activision shares between August 2, 2018 and January 10, 2019 were misled about its plans to sell the Destiny IP to Bungie....

The video was taken and posted to TikTok by professional shark diver and marine biologist Andriana Fragola. It shows the injured shark swimming alongside a boat, its jaw appearing to be “ripped completely out” as it hangs off the side of its face. According to the ACLU, the Cobb County Adult Detention Center turned the water off for days in one of the jail’s residential areas after the facility’s water filters were improperly cleaned with gasoline. In a statement, Cobb County Sheriff Neil Warren confirmed that the jail had performed maintenance work to replace a valve in the building’s water system on Friday, January 17. “On Saturday an inmate reported to deputies that the water in a single housing area had a slight odor,” the release said....

The group says the lawsuit was filed on behalf of local journalists and legal observers. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 set to release in October later this year, there has been a lot of indication that the title will feature some big differences from its predecessors. Backlash over bugs and glitches for a game of Warzone’s scale come in the form of waves of criticism from fans and tirades from content creators like Dr Disrespect. Any new technology that could streamline the process of ironing out these issues would likely help Activision to avoid bad press and to ensure that its games maintain a long lifespan....
