The film, which could turn out to be as big a crowd-puller as the most commercially viable Bollywood films, is set for a release on September 2. This is the first time a biopic is being made on a high-profile India cricketer, and it will be no surprise if fans start making plans for next September as early on as now.
For the film, Fox Star Studios has joined hands with Inspired Entertainment (Rhiti Group), read a statement.
“M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story” traces Dhoni’s inspirational rise from humble beginnings in Ranchi to an icon. Director Neeraj Pandey tries to uncover the personal and human story behind the icon - the untold story filled with humour, romance, tragedy and triumph.
The actor Sushant Singh Rajput has trained for long hours to get into the frame of Dhoni, trying to master and follow the body language when he is playing a shot, and is understandably excited about the film.
