The Battle Pass itself works across both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the free-to-play Warzone mode, giving players a number of free rewards for playing, as well as unlocking more prizes to win for 1000 CoD Points, the premium currency used to buy items like the new Tiger King inspired bundle.

According to a tweet from Activision’s Support account, the issue seems to be isolated to the reporting of the Battle Pass’ rewards in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and not with the actual distribution of rewards. The tweet, coming in response to a number of players reporting on the issue, claims that the Battle Pass and rewards are still working as intended, even if players aren’t quite seeing what they would expect. However, the company is currently working on fixing the issue and making sure that the Battle Pass properly displays the rewards that players are earning.

This issue has certainly been much more noticeable after this past weekend’s double XP event in which players earned double points on all types of experience for weapons, rank, and the Battle Pass. With earned experience having this type of effect on the Battle Pass that players have paid to unlock, the appearance of not earning experience is likely to leave players more than unfulfilled during XP events. However, this issue shouldn’t affect players when it comes to receiving rewards, as Activision Support assures players that rewards are still working as intended.

As Activision and Infinity Ward continue to make adjustments to both Modern Warfare and Warzone, attempting to appease all players with new features like Battle Royal duos on its way, some things, unfortunately, get jumbled. Luckily, the team working on the game is aware of the issues as they present themselves and has been working to resolve them. Hopefully, there will be a fix for the Battle Pass soon, as not knowing how progress is going can be frustrating, but at least the issue has been fairly limited and hasn’t cost anyone their hard-earned rewards.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
